Shedding Light on One of Our Nation's Darkest Hours
The National Geographic Channel tasked MullenLowe with bringing the story of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination back to life for their new show, Killing Lincoln. So we created an HTML5 parallax site that took users back to 1865, letting them follow John Wilkes Booth in the days leading up to Lincoln’s death. We compiled nearly 1,000 historic photographs, quotes and writings from several characters, exploring the motivations behind the murder and Booth’s arrest. In the end, our site helped shed new light on one of our nation’s darkest hours.
